Riverview Baptist Church is an independent, fundamental, Bible-believing local assembly of baptized believers in Berry, Kentucky.

In a fast-changing world, we stand firm on the timeless truths of God's Word. We exclusively preach and teach from the Authorized King James Version (KJV 1611) of the Holy Bible. What We Believe

We hold firmly to the historic Baptist faith and the foundational doctrines of the King James Bible. Here is a summary of our biblical convictions:

The Holy Scriptures (KJV)

We believe the Holy Bible is the verbally and plenary inspired Word of God. We believe God has supernaturally preserved His Word for the English-speaking people in the Authorized King James Version (KJV 1611), which is the final and absolute authority for all matters of faith, doctrine, and practice.

2 Timothy 3:16-17 • Psalm 12:6-7

The True God & Trinity

We believe in one God, eternally existing in three co-equal persons: Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Each person executes distinct but harmonious offices in the great work of redemption.

1 John 5:7 • Matthew 28:19

The Lord Jesus Christ

We believe in the virgin birth, sinless life, absolute deity, vicarious blood atonement, physical bodily resurrection, and victorious ascension of Jesus Christ to the right hand of the Father.

Isaiah 7:14 • 1 Corinthians 15:3-4

Salvation by Grace through Faith

We believe that salvation is a free gift of God, received solely by grace through personal faith in Jesus Christ, apart from any human works, baptism, or sacrament. Believers are eternally secure in Christ.

Ephesians 2:8-9 • John 10:28-29

The Local Baptist Church

We believe the local church is a self-governing congregation of baptized believers. Its scriptural ordinances are Believer's Baptism by full immersion and the Lord's Supper.

Acts 2:41-42 • Matthew 28:19-20

The Blessed Hope (Second Coming)

We believe in the imminent, pretribulational rapture of the saved, followed by the bodily premillennial return of the Lord Jesus Christ to earth to establish His reign.

The Good News

How to Know You Are Going to Heaven

According to the King James Bible, salvation is not earned through good works or church membership. It is a free gift through Jesus Christ alone.

Romans 3:23

"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;"

Every person has sinned and stands in need of God's forgiveness.

Romans 6:23

"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."

The penalty for sin is spiritual separation from God, but eternal life is a free gift.

Romans 5:8

"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."

Jesus paid the full price for our sins upon the cross of Calvary.

Romans 10:9, 13

"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus... thou shalt be saved... For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."

Turn to Christ by faith and call upon Him in prayer to save your soul.
